Last weekend, I went to Vegas to see my family and my sister threw me a "winter wonderland" baby shower! It was very cute and I can tell she spent so much time on it. And my sister-in-law made the cutest invitations with my ultrasound pic on them:) Here are some highlights from the party:
The candy table (a must at parties according to my sister, and I now agree).
The food-thanks to my sister-in-law and others, there was sooo much good food! Lots of people liked the blue kool-aid. They said it brought them back to when they were kids.
Shower games. We played "The Price is Right" and my brother Jeremy was one of Barker's Beauties:) I was way over in my price guesses-I am so used to New York prices now!
More games-my mom and I raced to see who could change a diaper (complete with wipes and diaper creme) the fastest, while being blindfolded.
And of course, presents!
I had to take a picture of these adorable gingerbread houses my sister made:)
Me and my sis
After we all went shopping at a new outdoor mall (Jeremy is not in the pic though). It was such a great trip. Thanks Holly and everyone else who did all this work and gave me a great shower!

The Martha Stewart Show
A couple of months ago, I requested tickets to see the Martha Stewart show. I watch her show a lot now since I haven't been working. So, I finally got tickets to see today's show! It was so much fun. I went with my friend Marne. First, we had to check in, then Joey came in and got us all pumped up and excited. On the show, Martha made a brisket with Wyclef Jean, then we learned cute ways to plant our Christmas trees. After that, we saw some pets that were up for adoption (that was my favorite part-they would bark every time we clapped!). During commercials they play music so you can dance and get excited. I guess Martha loves hip hop music! Who would have thought:) At the end of the show Martha answered a few audience questions, and then we got some free stuff! We got Wyclef Jean's new cd and some new colored pencils. It was a blast. If you watch the show, look for me in the audience on December 8 on NBC!
Thanksgiving in Ohio
We had a great Thanksgiving! This year we went to Colombus, Ohio again to visit my sister and her husband's family. My dad and stepmom came as well. We had so much fun, and I was so glad that I was feeling up to eating, cause there was so much good food. I ate tons of pie:) And it was so fun to see my niece! She is so cute. She kept telling my dad "you funny!" I wish we could see her more often. It was also fun seeing their boston terriers-they are so crazy. Thanks for everything Greco family!
Then on Saturday, we drove to Cleveland to see our friends, Chris and Katie. We went to Kirtland to see the temple and all the nativity scenes they had on display. Katie also took some fun prego pics of me with Kevin, and it was fun-we felt like models:) Thanks for letting us stay with you guys-we had so much fun:)

Pregnancy update
I keep forgetting to take pictures of my growing belly, but here are some that I have:
8 weeks, 14 weeks
16 weeks, 20 weeks
24 weeks, 26 weeks
(please ignore my weird looking face in week 26 pic-it looks like I have a puffy eye!). Right now I am 27 weeks, so I still look similar to the last picture. Sometimes I forget that I have a huge belly in the way when I am washing my face or trying to pick something up-I can't bend that far anymore. I can't imagine what it will be like as I get bigger!
The baby is kicking a lot now, and something that really gets him kicking is apple juice. It is almost instantaneous-as soon as I drink it, he goes crazy! He must like it. He also really likes when we watch "Glee", because he kicks a lot when they are singing the songs:)
Yesterday, I got to meet up with a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in 10 years! It was fun to catch up. We got hot chocolate at a chocolate store called Jacques Torres, and they had a really neat display-it was a plate of Thanksgiving dinner, all made of chocolate! Even the peas and corn are chocolate. I think the stuffing is a cookie though. Anywho, I found it entertaining, so I took a pic:) Thanks for meeting up with me Stephanie!

Fall in New York
In tradition of Callie's visits, we had another rainy weekend in New York. But this time, we got lucky-it mostly rained when we were inside of places:) So we had a lot of fun. We walked through Central Park to see the pretty fall leaves, got hot apple cider at the Union Square Farmer's Market, and saw the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show! I love this show, and have been fortunate to see it every year:) Later, we met up with Emily and hit the Strand bookstore, and then ate lunch at Max Brennar, where we had this amazing fondue!!!!
It was such a great weekend. And, we also were interviewed in Union Square! They were doing a study on men's cologne use, so they asked us some questions and videotaped us. We were both nervous but it was kind of exciting. They said they are using the interviews for a press conference.
Thanks again for visiting Callie! I'm glad we have been able to take advantage of our close proximity. And thanks for humoring me with my pregnancy cravings:) I only wish the whole gang could have been there!

Halloween
We had a great Halloween this year! We dressed up as Juno and Paulie Bleeker. It was very easy since I already had the pregnant belly:) We also got to go to two ward parties. We went to the Astoria Ward party and had so much fun seeing our friends. They all had great costumes and we had tons of fun dancing. I wish I had got more pictures of all the great costumes.
We also went to the Manhattan 1st ward party and decorated a door for the trick-or-treaters. And I made these spider cupcakes again (they are so fun to make:)
After the party, we went to a neighborhood near our apartment that was all decorated for Halloween. We saw some really good costumes, and we really got a kick out of the "balloon boy" costume! (notice the handcuffs). There was also a Star Wars show that was a little cheesy but fun to watch:) I would say it was the best Halloween we've had in New York!

California visit
This week, Kevin had to go to California for work, so I tagged along and we went to visit Kevin's family in Sacramento. We had lots of fun and went to this great place called Apple Hill. It is a giant farm where you pick your own fruit, and they have lots of good things to eat. We picked apples, ate apple donuts, and saw lots of pumpkins.
Then, we had a pumpkin carving contest. Kevin's team won because it was so scary, but ours was very pretty:)

Girls Reunion part 2
Well, I decided that I needed a change for my blog, so I am going to try holiday themes for now:)
Last week was so awesome, because I got to have another reunion with my girls!
We all got together in Park City in July, but stars aligned and we were able to have an east coast reunion. First, Karli, Jennie, and Katie went to DC and surprised Callie. Then, they all endured the bus and came to visit me. I was so happy they came. They were such great sports, because Kevin and I had just moved into a new place and we still had boxes everywhere. And girls, sorry again about the cable guy-at least we have a funny memory! Here are some pics from our fun weekend:

We had such a good time. We walked through the park, saw the temple, ate lots of good food, and to top it all off, we were able to see Mary Poppins on Broadway! It was so much fun. Thanks girls for all your pictures (since I forgot where I packed my camera). I love you girls and am so happy you came. I miss you already!
Oh Boy!
Well, it's official-we are having a boy! We had our anatomy scan about two weeks ago, and it was very exciting. The nurse said there was no mistaking that the baby is a boy-the baby gave us a clear view! The nurse also said that the baby was having a little party in there, because he was moving around a lot. We even got to see him sucking his little thumb:) Kevin is very excited, since he had been calling it a boy for about a month now. The nurse said everything looks great and the baby is doing very well:) Also, just this week, I felt him move for the first time!
So, I can't resist buying baby clothes now. There are so many cute things! Although, the stores have twice as many girl clothes as they do boy clothes. Probably because guys don't have as much variety as girls do. Looking at Kevin's wardrobe, he has three main categories: work/church shirts, t-shirts, and polo-type shirts. That's it. So, it makes sense that stores would have more variety in baby girl clothes. Here are some pics of clothes I bought or was given, just for fun:
The puppy is actually the butt of these pants, but I wanted to show it:)
And I love this snow leopard outfit (thanks Rob and Emily!)-it even has a tail:)
I love these baby track pants.
And this cute car outfit is from the baby's aunts-Tara and Colleen (thanks girls!)
I love baby hats-especially this newsboy hat!
And for some more fun, here is what we looked like as babies:

Kevin & Heather
I wonder who the baby will look like:) (thanks Jenny U.-I got this idea from looking at your blog-so cute!)

Updates
I know, I am a bad blogger. I haven't posted in a while. But really, I haven't been doing anything, so I had nothing to write about. But the past two weekends were fun, so I shall blog about those now:
Two weekends ago, Kevin and I went to DC again. We really like it there, so we thought we would visit again. It was a short trip, so we mainly just went to the museums, but we are into that kind of stuff so we had a lot of fun.
Here we are in front of the White House (on the Pennsylvania Ave. side)
Here is the Hope Diamond in the Museum of Natural History.
Here I am learning about dinosaurs. It's really fascinating how they get the fossils, and this museum had real fossils! (you can see my pregnant belly in this pic-here I am about 17 weeks!)
The Space museum was really cool, and it was interesting to learn how astronauts go to the bathroom-this is their toilet! And, when they go on space walks, they have to wear diapers, because it takes them 3 hours to put on their suits, and sometimes they are out for 8 hours!
Here is Kevin, leaning on the Washington Monument.
We also got to visit our friends, Sean and Stephanie, and Callie and Carly. Thanks for meeting up with us! It was great to see you guys!
The next weekend, Kevin had to work in Boston, so I went up with him. I love Boston-it is so clean, and it has so much history (I really like American History). We drove up on Friday night, and then it rained all day Saturday, so I don't really have any pictures. But, something kind of scary happened in our hotel-the fire alarm went off! And it was not a drill-someone got on the loudspeaker, and said "exit to the nearest floor". I was hurrying to put on my shoes, and Kevin was taking his sweet time. So we walked down the stairs, and several people were walking up, saying "this is ridiculous". Others were acting a little panicky. We got down to the lobby, and they said it was all clear. I guess the alarm kept going off because water was leaking on the roof, and the alarm went off at 4:00 am the night before (luckily we weren't there yet!) I was kind of alarmed that people weren't following the evacuation route, but I guess I am just a stickler for the rules.
I got back from Boston on Sunday, and two friends from my ward invited me to go with them to stand outside the MTV VMA's with them! We went to see the cast from Twilight, but there were so many people we couldn't really see. However, we did hear them announce Taylor Lautner (Jacob) so we screamed for him. That was exciting. I did get two videos though-I saw Pink and Taylor Swift! It was pretty exciting. Sorry the videos are kind of blurry-we were packed in like sardines, so people kept pushing. Some people just go crazy over celebs:) Thanks for inviting me Natasha and Emily!!
Here we are outside the red carpet at the VMA's
In other news, Kevin and I are moving:( We are still in NYC, we are just moving to another borough. We found a great apt. that's close to everything-parks, grocery stores and restaurants, church, and even the Temple! It will be a lot easier for us when the baby comes. The only bad thing about it is that we won't be in the same ward. I am sad to leave our ward, and the friends that live close to us:( I hope we can all still hang out!

Great news!
Well, I am finally going to post this, because people are finding out and others are just suspicious-we are having a BABY! We are so excited if you can't tell:) I am 13 weeks, and I have pretty much been sick for about 10 of those weeks. I have already lost 8 pounds, even though you are supposed to be putting on the pounds when you are pregnant. But lately I have been feeling better after 3:00 in the afternoons, so there is light at the end of the tunnel! I hate being sick, but it's all worth it when you get to see your baby on the ultrasound:) More updates as they come (and I'll post pics when I start to get HUGE!).

Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Last weekend, Kevin and I took a trip to Newport, Rhode Island, with our friends Jon and Julie. While there, we saw a few mansions that were preserved from wealthy families of the Gilded Age. They were gorgeous! My favorite was probably the Vanderbilt's mansion, "The Breakers". It was so big and it was right on the ocean. We took a tour of several of the mansions, and my favorite things to see in each of them were the kitchens and bathrooms. The kitchens were so big, and they even had some old containers (like crackers for example) from the 1920's. The bathrooms were interesting, because the toilets were always kind of hidden-maybe they didn't want people to think they had to use the bathroom!
The tea house and the Breakers mansion
We also went sailing! Kevin got to drive:)
We thought it was funny that these statues had water coming out of their mouths-it looks like they are throwing up!
