St. Patrick's Day

I carry my camera around with me all the time now, because you never know what is going to happen in this city. So I went to work on Monday, and again I noticed tons of police officers in the subway. Little did I know what a huge deal St. Patrick's Day is here! There is a huge parade (which was a couple of blocks from where Kevin and I work-we really lucked out with our work locations) and everyone starts getting drunk at 6:00 am (or they start the night before) and galavant down the streets of NYC. The parade lasts four hours, and no one gets much work done this day. Kevin and I watched a little bit of the parade during lunch, and we saw this charming lad (below) and I just had to take a picture of him. And I must say, Kevin makes quite a nice leprechaun himself!

Yay! Now I can comment! I am glad to know you will now be documenting all strange NYC events (and then posting them to your blog, right!?)
