DC part 2

Last weekend, Kevin and I went to Washington DC with our friends Jon and Julie. We went to all the major sites, (thanks again Cal for meeting up with us!) but the highlight of the trip for me was George Washington's house in Mt. Vernon.
This was my favorite of all the sites. We walked through the mansion, and it felt like we were going back in time. Then we walked through the museum, and that was awesome too. The History Channel used computers and high tech equipment to find out what George Washington really looked like. The picture of him on the horse is what they say he looked like as a young man. By the time he was sworn in as president, he had no teeth!
Lastly, we ate at a restaurant, and the waiters and waitresses were all dressed in colonial garb. I thought it was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot about George Washington. He was a great president.
