Our Trip to Philadelphia

Over Labor Day weekend, Kevin and I decided to go to Philly with our friends Rob and Emily. It is only a two hour bus ride, so we just took a day trip. We saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and lots of other cool things. And of course, we ate Philly Cheese Steaks which were excellent. But my favorite part of the trip was "Once Upon a Nation". There are little benches throughout downtown Philly, and there are storytellers at each of the benches. They tell a little story about a person in history who did something great. Every time you listened to a story, you got to
put a sticker on your flag. I didn't get to see them all, but that was my favorite part of the trip.

The trip was fun, but I have to admit, Philly was a little scary to me. I said to Kevin "I can't wait to get back to New York!" which is something I never thought I would say.

Hez! It took me about a week to realize I can comment (and btw thanks for yours). Philly is definitely on my list of places to visit as I have become a US history lover... thank you 5th grade social studies curriculum! I think I would have loved the story place too. Hopefully we'll make it out there someday. You look super cute in all your pics! Missin you!
